This past Saturday, August 10, a number of Club members travelled to Edenvale for the "gathering of the Classics" at the Edenvale Aerodome. This airstrip is home to the Edenvale Classic Aircraft Foundation's Museum which includes a B-25 Mitchell Bomber. This airfield dates back to the second world war when it was home to the T-6 Training Squadron. A mere $350. a half hour gets you a ride on a Harvard fighter. Other planes included a Tiger Moth, YAK (Russian built), replica WWI fighters, a 40's Howard DGA and many many more.
Upwards of 200 Antique and Classic cars turned up for the car show. There were American, British and European cars of all description, a large number of Morgans in part. We all enjoyed the show, picnic lunch and social time. We highly recommend this show to others next year.
