AACA Ontario Region Mother's Day Tour - 2015

Hi there....well, Sat. May 30th dawned warm & humid & windy. We met with several of our car club friends & travelled to P'boro Airport where we were invited to share our Mother's Day Tour with the P'boro Lions Club event that was happening there. There was a Classic Car show, plane pulls by several pre-arranged teams for Global Angel, a free BBQ. There were tee shirts available & an actor, Jonny Harris from Murdoch's Mysteries, was on hand for autographs & photo ops. There were 15 automobiles from our club present with 30+ people attending. The day was completed with a huge thunderstorm, which occurred after we left, so we hope that most of the activities were finished. Most of our members headed home well before the storm. Our thanks to Jim Dyson, who organized the event. This was our first tour of the season & we are looking forward to many more. The next will be on June 28th & we will be touring in the Newcastle, Port Hope & Omemee areas. It should be fun....Our AACA Ontario Region club has 133 members & most of us have antique or classic cars but even if you don't own one of these, we would welcome you to the club. You just have to have an appreciation for the classics & antiques. Till next time......
